The Lower Kindergarten reopened on 11th June, 2018. The parents assembled at the auditorium by 8.30 am. Ms Maggie Vaz, the head of the KG section welcomed the parents and students. Principal Prathibha Ma'am addressed the gathering. She spoke at length about the safety issues faced by children today and the measures taken by the school to address this problem. She also emphasised upon the importance of sending healthy snacks for the children. Thereafter everyone was briefed on the rules and regulations of the school. After the meeting, the tiny tots were taken to their classrooms by their respective class teachers. In order to make the children feel at home, some rhymes and stories were shown on the smart board. There was a free play period for the little ones after which they went back home with their parents, carrying in their hands colourful balloons gifted to them from school.
THE REOPENING OF CLASS XI
The classes commenced for Standard XI on 07-06-2018. To mark the beginning of the classes a short formal function was arranged in the auditorium. Principal Ms. Prathiba V addressed the parents and students. Parents were briefed on the general rules and regulations to be followed by their wards in the school. The need for encouraging the children to form sound study patterns was stressed upon. The parents were instructed to monitor the progress of their children on a regular basis. The Academic Coordinator Ms. Manju Ann Abraham also addressed the gathering. Principal also informed everyone present about the compulsory participation of the students in Yoga classes in the morning every Monday from 7:30 to 8 am. Taking motivation from the previous year’s excellent results brought out by the school for Classes X and XII, the students were told to plan out their work with total commitment. She also made everyone aware of the available facilities in the School. The parents and students were introduced to the new faculty members. It was also mentioned that the children should be provided with nutritious and balanced diet and keep junk food at bay.
